First View to Gun Hill

You are presently facing the centre of the epic grandeur of ‘Gun Hill’. The Gun Hill has three key highlights which are the 3D model right in front of you at the centre, the ‘Wall of Reminiscence; which is situated behind the 3D Model and the ‘Veer Bhoomi; situated to the left rear of the 3D model. A dedicated audio guide is available at each of the three key features showcasing their important details.

Take a moment here to look at the three guns which are placed to your left, right and rear. These are dummy models of 155mm BOFORS, the 105mm Indian Field Gun or commonly called as IFG and the 75/24mm Pack Howitzers respectively. All these three guns had a major role to play during various battles of OPERATION VIJAY and made remarkable contributions. The special role played by the BOFORS gun system and its devastating effect on the targets was also laureled after the battle. You shall also see the locations from which these guns fired at, the distances at which they fired and the targets which they engaged at the 3D Model.

Take a moment here to appreciate the arboriculture at the location and have a view of the beautiful picturesque Deolali Cantonment behind you. With a keen eye, you can also see the Deolali Field Firing Ranges to the right on the skyline.
