You are now facing the ‘Wall of Reminiscence’ which is a 90 ft long wall showcasing various important details of the OPERATION VIJAY. At the top of the wall are the Murals of the 34 martyrs of the Regiment of Artillery who laid down their lives fighting various battles in OPERATION VIJAY. At the left and right side of the wall are 22 boards which highlight the role of various Artillery units which took part in the battle and their contribution in achieving victory in the battles.
At the centre of the ‘Wall of Reminiscence’ you can find six battle boards of the major battles fought during the OPERATION VIJAY, to include the Battle of Tiger Hill, Battle of Tololing, Battle of Point 4875, Battle of Point 5140, Battle of Khalubar and Battle of Jubar Top.
There are two boards at the centre of the wall highlighting the names of all award winners of the Regiment of Artillery during the various battles of OPERATION VIJAY. You can also see a board at the centre of the wall mentioning all the units which took part in the battle and the units which were awarded with COAS and the GOC-in-C Unit Citations. Please take some time and go around the ‘Wall of Reminiscence’ and appreciate the role of Artillery played in the various battles and pay reverence to the 34 martyrs of the Regiment of Artillery.
